My journey into nature commenced at the tender age of 12, during the 1980s. It was my father who deeply ingrained within me a passion for the natural world, particularly during our time living in New Mexico. His knack for uncovering the most extraordinary locales for exploration in the state ignited and nurtured my profound love for nature.

This deep-seated love for nature has been the guiding force behind my passion for nature, fly fishing and creating high-quality fly-fishing gear and leather travel bags.

My name is Shawn McNeely, and I have worked in the IT industry for 29 years. Throughout my career developing and implementing transformative technology for clients, I have always drawn inspiration from nature, which often provides solutions to problems. However, we all face one issue that is deeply personal and drives my passion for making a difference.

As our climate changes, we face a world increasingly defined by disposability and this disposability is altering our natural environment, so I have made it my mission to produce fly-fishing travel bags and gear designed to last a decade or longer with high-quality canvas & leather along with reclaimed rare earth material, and by making small adjustments to our travel habits, we can create lasting, positive impacts on our natural environment and planet.

Nature has always been a significant influence in my life, nurturing my soul and fueling my creativity. This passion for nature-inspired products has driven me to create fly-fishing products that seamlessly integrate into angler lives, providing profound benefits.

My creative inspiration comes from my experiences in nature, such as exploring the mountains and ancient ruins of New Mexico & Colorado, fly fishing in Wyoming, and tracing the footsteps of dinosaurs in South Dakota and Texas. This “Nature Awareness” has shaped my creativity in numerous ways, which I channel into the fly-fishing gear I develop.
